The Hackable Election
Bradblog (Brad being an official ninja) has another great post about Mikel Haas and San Diego’s hackable election. The post claims that the elections in San Diego were intentionally set up with known-to-be-hackable voting machines. My question is, why the bloodclot would you use electronic voting machines?!?
For those of you less well-versed in our nation’s illustrious legacy of voting fraud, almost every electronic system is hackable, if not immediately upon creation, eventually. And I don’t just mean voting machines. From the alarm clock in your car to your computer. When electronic voting machines first came out I thought to myself, this must be a conspiracy. Furthermore, ninjas knew nothing about it!, meaning it must be a bad conspiracy. Very bad.

My Ninja, Please! 7/20/06: Government Monitoring Student Protests
…thank God for disguise.
SAN FRANCISCO - A federal Homeland Security agent reported information about student protests in Berkeley and Santa Cruz on a Pentagon terrorism database, according to documents obtained by the American Civil Liberties Union.
Information on the protests showed up in the database of a Pentagon program called Threat and Local Observation Notice, or TALON, which the government started in 2003 as a way to collect data that could help stop terrorist attacks. Officials have acknowledged that the reports on protests, which took place in April 2005 against military recruiters on campus, should not have been included and have since removed them.
Just slightly scary.AA Luckily, I practice the art of Shinobi-iri, or else…

Honk if you love green energy!
A runner-up for Metropolis magazine’s 2006 Next Generation Award, Mark Oberholzer with Wittenberg Oberholzer Architects, Laura Koehler, and Michael Morrow, designed these Highway Divider Wind Turbines. These ninjas designed small conical wind turbines that would sit on the concrete dividers along highways, which would be spun by the air movement created by passing traffic. The electricity generated would be fed into a cable running beneath the dividers, and then into the city grid. Check out the rest of the comp HERE.

Wondering why there are no images at Metropolis’ page? That’s because in true ninja fashion this post has the only images on the net [as of now]. Act like you know.

My Ninja, Please! 7/19/06: Flying Car Claims ‘Only Slight Prejudice’
Ok… so let me find out that the Italians (Alfa Romeo) go and make a car with an epithet as the actual name.AA First they call Zidane (another candidate for Realest Ninja Alive) a terrorist and then they go make this joint.AA MAMAMIA! Whassamarra with these guys?
People, I know this is only a concept car, and nevermind the fact that it FLIES, but tell me why this car is named the SPIX?!AA And here it is I thoughtAAthe I-talians had good relations with the Spanish.AA The world’s done gone crazy… although I’m not gonna claim this wouldn’t help-help out some of our finer feathered friends to the south (they count as ninjas too) — and they’re already talking about it.
Check out the page and sleek video here!
Quote from the Spanish page (translated):AA "IfAAthe Italians are distinguished in anything (besides soccer) it’s in the design of whatever object.AA Although the car in question is not actually Italian, it bears the Italian mark, Alfa Romeo."AA This is just a big racist mess.AA Ninja, Please!

And you thought the nuclear football was gangsta!
The nuclear football (from Zero Halliburton) ain’t got nothin’ on me, kid. While its sterile veneer of shiny aluminum might tempt the purists among us, this Japanese Cedar laptop case from Tamuki Shimamura has got it beat on the aesthetic tip. The bag has a canvas interior and can even fit a 17″ laptop.
