My Ninja, Please! 4.10.12: Orioles Lose to… Who?
Baltimore Orioles manager Buck Showalter termed the event a "controlled scrimmage." The opponent used pitchers (including left-hander Tsuyoshi Wada) and a catcher from the Orioles roster. Major league stars such as J.J. Hardy, Adam Jones and Matt Wieters took only a couple of turns apiece at the plate and played about five innings. And the adversaries played for eight innings total, not a full regulation game.
With that context — perhaps you call it "spin" — understood, there’s no other way to put this: A community college team beat the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday. (read the rest here)
What even is there to say here except… MY NINJA, PLEASE!

They’re a construction toy that uses clever laser cut clips—Skallops—and regular playing cards to let you make anything that you can imagine. We’ve perfected the design so that it’s easy to connect playing cards in countless ways. The Skallops themselves are cut out of the highest-quality, sanded and finished birch plywood.

Lucas Werthein’s SuperPong Remake
Up to eight participants can play by walking up to the table and taking control of custom knobs that move the players. The game is simple, elegant, and minimalist and demonstrates that high resolution graphics and complex shapes are not necessary to make people laugh, cheer, high-five or hug total strangers after a match. WNA 10.19.11: Rondooo
Yes, I know this is turning out to be an NBA-centric type of day, but for those of you who have been regular visitors, you know how it is with this site, you never know what you’re gonna get.
The second installment in the Weekly Ninja Award is dedicated my homeboy Rajon Rondo of the Boston Celtics. Besides being part of the not-ninja-worthy NBA lockout, albeit on the more populist side, Rondo has been touring around the country with a virtual pickup team called the "Big Blue All-Stars" (I’m guessing this is Kentucky related).
They may be taking large craps on the heads of mediocre teams, but it’s still a site to behold. Without further adieu:
