Hundreds of McDonalds in California are now the proud broadcasters of a new TV platform:
The in-house TV programming also fits in with a wider upgrade of McDonald’s locations, with many now including wi-fi hotspots as McDonald’s tries to expand the brand beyond fast food. (Source)
I know, ninjas, I know. The Semi-rere Mickey D’s ad of the Week, AND the Japanese Show of the Week are two features that have been severely lacking around here. I ain’t ashamed. And, guess what? Chicken butt!
Okay, that was juvenile. In order to make up for our blatant effrontery with the lack of features, I now present to you both of these amazing features rolled into one 30 second snack wrap. Lovin’ it…
Slightly more than just semi-re-re:
First of all, did McDonald’s really do an ad with turds running around as detectives?AA And why does Ronald have to always look so scary.AA If this wasn’t enough to deter you… what’s that turd doing with that big twizzler around 00:17?AA SRMDAotW strikes again!

Um, so… this one is from Koookiecrumbles himself. This ad may cross the line from Semi-re-re (the point of this weekly feature is to showcase the most ridiculous Mickey D’s ads) into FULLY re-re. I’m not sure if I should be offended or…
So… the reason this feature stopped appearing on the site wasn’t because we all [of a] sudden found some new esteem for the P.C. [ Ed. You might remember initial reader reactions to this series ]. The problem was that I wanted to present this in order, so, we started in the 60’s… but then it just got out of control. So, what I’m trying to say is that we’re skipping the 70’s for now, but we’ll get back there, and we’re jumping ahead to the 80’s. For those of you who were too young, while you’re watching this - just realize that it IS in fact who you’re thinking.
Yes, my ninjas. The semi-re-re mickey d’s ad of the week is back for now.
People back in the day really let their kids eat this stuff after seeing this.AA Not a question but a fact.AA For you new readers, this is a recurring feature on ridiculous Mickey D’s ads.
As a preview to today’s Semi-Re-Re McDonald’s Ad of the week, I offer you this nonsense.
Absolutely killin’ me.
We’ve abbreviated the name of this post for those of us *cough*Mary* who were offended by our impugnable usage of the word "retarded."AA But, we think that you’ll get the point when you watch the video that it’s…
… a showcase of the limited mental capabilities of the entire Marketing/PR division of Mickey D’s.
Don’t we all just love new features? Fortunately for ya’ll, this video speaks for itself.AA Apparently this was one of their first TV spots ever - and what better place to start than the beginning?
