Boston Herald: "Fade to Blacko"?

Partners cheap prescription without consultation cialis order of those with ED often describe it as a more cheapest estrace significant problem in the relationship than the men themselves do. buy mirapex During this test, a healthcare professional inserts a long, thin, store get generic without colchicine prescription and flexible tube into the gut via the throat. However, spiriva online stores receiving chemotherapy in the first trimester of pregnancy can harm norvasc prescription the developing fetus and can cause miscarriage. Additionally, the medications are a common cheapest cephalexin alternative treatment for people who cannot tolerate angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) order viagra in us inhibitors because of the side effect of a long-term, nonproductive cough..

I’m not going to say that trying to be witty by combining ‘fade to black’ and ‘wacko jacko’ is itself definitely racist, as that would be a little overly sensitive, I think - but it’s definitely pretty ignorant and in poor taste. That said, it was the cover of the Boston Herald - which means it probably should be read as a racist remark. If nothing else, people should be wondering who in the hell runs that rag - considering this made it to press. I seriously believe this newspaper wants to be known for ignorant and hateful headlines - it’s sad.

The real reason I bring this up? I think it’s important that all you non-Bostonians out there understand what we’ll be stuck with if the Boston Globe and the NY Times don’t figure something out. I know that the Globe/Times story has been national news [at least if you read the Times], and I’m sure many of you didn’t care about the Globe’s future - but do you see what we’ll be stuck with if they close up shop? This is basically their standard stuff.

[Note: To be fair, the Herald doesn’t know any better - it’s a tabloid. But it will be the only newspaper in this bitch if the Globe goes under, which scares me.]

Rusty DePass = Racist Jackass

m
Like the idea of an ignorant, racist Republican is shocking in any way. And also, for a racist-ish comment of my own: could this guy be an uglier, chubbier rich-white-guy? Damn.

In a comment on his Facebook page [you’re too old for facebook, asshole] South Carolina GOP activist and former chairman of the state elections commission Rusty DePass made the following comment about a gorilla that had escaped from a local zoo: "I’m sure it’s just one of Michelle’s ancestors - probably harmless."

He’s admitted he was referring to Michelle Obama, saying, "I am as sorry as I can be if I offended anyone. The comment was clearly in jest."

Offended anyone? "In jest"? Dude - WTF is your deal? Of course that’s offensive - what kind of idiot could even pretend to suggest he didn’t realize how people would take that kind of comment?

You’re a racist, and an asshole - and I hope the next time we hear about you it’s because someone’s smacked the bigot out of you [I’m available for said bigot-smacking all week - hit me on my cell].

Does anyone know how the GOP reacted to this? I don’t suppose the party as a whole had the sense to denounce his comments.

Seriously - if you can’t help but say ignorant things about the skin-tone of the first family: at least have the cajones to stand by your comments. People will still hate you for saying it, and you’ll look like an antiquated clown - but at least you won’t come off as a p@$$y.

Also, please, PLEASE, don’t go arguing some nonsense about evolution - we all know what the deal is when some white guy starts comparing gorillas to African Americans. I’ve already read some comments on other sites by some fool Repubs who are claiming this is a creationism vs evolution thing - which is complete and utter BS.

He could get paid to do this…

And look!AA He squanders his talent away!

Via UPI

FEDERAL WAY, Wash., May 21 (UPI) — Police in Washington state said a suspect used his genitals as a puppet while standing over an air conditioner intake at an apartment complex.

The police report of the incident said Timothy Wayne Martin, 44, of Auburn, Wash., was arrested after residents of the Arcadia Apartment Complex in Federal Way called police at about 10:30 a.m. May 13 and reported a man standing over an air conditioner intake wearing only an unbuttoned flannel shirt and "was apparently manipulating" his penis with a string "like a puppet," Seattlepi.com reported Thursday.

Police said Martin was arrested at the scene and still had the string attached to his penis. He was charged under the state’s felony indecent exposure statute due to having two prior convictions for similar crimes.

Martin was also in possession of a small quantity of methamphetamine at the time of his arrest. Police said he also had a pornographic magazine.

Seriously though, puppetry of the penis used to be super in-style.AA It’s a shame to see so much natural ability go to waste on a street corner.AA By the way, I heard about Seattle PI going out of print and exclusively online on NPR earlier this week.AA Go check out their website, as I feel bad for them.

Kobe’s Accuser on a Slightly Disturbing Note…

YouTube Preview Image

Wow, and double-wow.AA This is a video of Kobe’s accuser (AKA the white cheerleader chick) rapping about being… uh… raped by Kobe.

I’ve officilly decided to forego any journalistic activity on this post because, well, I’m not a journalist.AA Actually, what I mean is that I’m not sure if this girl is actually Kobe’s accuser or not, or what the hell the deal is…AA But this is NOT okay.AA Wow…AA I was even LOLing a (tiny?) bit until the end, but then I felt like a willing participant.

I mean, she seems really disturbed by this, and it’s not as if rap isn’t an appropriate venue to voice something so emotional… but I mean…. what the feezy??AA Rape, rape ya’ll, ya don’t stoppp?AA How am I supposed to react?

This brings to mind a Wyclef skit

In the Building + Feeling Himself

45627469.jpg

Can anyone in their right mind still be an A-Rod fan [I mean, obviously other than A-Rod himself]? Here he is in the recent issue of Details magazine - seemingly kissing himself in the mirror.

Is he prepping for a career move? Something involving stripping for men, perhaps?

Say Please, Please

A Canadian who demanded courtesy from a U.S. border security guard says he was pepper sprayed and held in custody for three hours for asking the disrespectful officer to a€oesay pleasea€A when ordering him to turn his car off during a search.

a€oeI refused to turn off the car until he said please. He didna€™t. And he has the gun, I guess, so he sprayed me,a€A said Desiderio Fortunato, a Coquitlam, B.C., resident who frequently crosses the border to visit his second home in the state of Washington. a€oeIs that illegal in the United States, asking an officer to be polite?a€A

The incident occurred on Monday at the Aldergrove border crossing, east of Vancouver, shortly after 12 p.m. Mr. Fortunato, a dance studio director, was travelling to his home in Blaine, Wash., to retrieve a wallet his wife had left during their most recent visit.

He said he was questioned by a border officer who demanded he turn off his car and, when asked to make the request more politely, threatened to spray him with his pepper gun if he did not comply.

a€oeI just felt I should stand my ground about it. I should not be treated like that. No matter what kind of position you are in, if you want respect you have to show respect,a€A he said yesterday. a€oeI asked him three times and when I didna€™t turn the car off, because he didna€™t say please, he pepper sprayed mea€¦. It was terrible. For half an hour or so I couldna€™t see anything.a€A

Assault with ‘ninja-type’ weapons

2921982048_7dcd64fe8b.jpg

Police allege a 26-year-old man got out of his Jeep Liberty in Centre Square on Saturday night and charged at an officer while holding a sai, a short metal sword.

Steven Michael Henrick, of the 1200 block of Second Street in Catasauqua, allegedly ignored several orders from officer Joseph Arrendondo to drop the sai until Arrendondo drew his gun and pointed it at Henrick, according to court papers.

Henrick dropped the 15-inch sai, but while he was being cuffed he struggled and wrestled Arrendondo to the ground. Another officer deployed a taser, but the shock was ineffective, police said. Henrick was eventually subdued by several officers.

Police allege a second sai, a set of nunchucks and a stolen purse were found in Henrick’s Jeep.

He was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, public drunkenness, resisting arrest and other offenses. He was sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $20,000 bail.

Economy Down, Recruiting Up

navy-recruiting-poster-1.jpg

[I’m not really sure what I’m supposed to feel about this poster…]

The faltering US economy is fueling a dramatic turnaround in military recruiting, with new statistics showing that the Army is experiencing the highest rate of new enlistments in six years.

The Army exceeded its goals each month from October through January - the first quarter of the new fiscal year - for both the active-duty Army and the Army Reserve, according to figures compiled by the US Army Recruiting Command.

Officials said it is the first time since the first quarter of fiscal year 2003, before the start of the Iraq War, that the Army has started out its recruiting year on such a high note.

Bristol Palin: Slightly Retahded

YouTube Preview Image

The daughter of a conservative evangelical christian politician saying abstinence isn’t realistic? Priceless.

But really tho, that’s why you got pregnant? Because keeping it in your pants is unrealistic? The MNP crew doesn’t practice abstinence as a rule, and we’re not all running around with babies. Hmm…I wonder why that is…oh yeah…

WRAP IT UP, YOU FECKIN DUMIES.

This chick is the poster child for teaching ‘safe’ and ‘responsible’ sex eduction in schools. Because abstinence is unrealistic - some youngins will still be gettin’ it on. The answer seems pretty simple to a ninja - teach the babies that they don’t want to be havin’ babies, and to use a condom / birth control. Shit, I’d advise giving all girls in high school ‘the pill’ like daily vitamins before abstinence as an answer to teen pregnancy [note: I don’t really think all high school girls should be on the pill, necessarily].

Also, a message to Bristol: sex isn’t simpler if you ‘wait 10 years’ - having children, however, might be. Simpler still? A trojan. Cheap, easy to get, simple to use, pretty effective.
[And for those of you who think we shouldn’t talk trash to a teenage girl - her fam decided it was cool to parade her in front of the cameras, and expect no response due to her age - which is BS]
