Reinventing the Shipping Container Part 16

FROM OFF TO ON by holdUP, participated in the KOBE Biennale 2011, which just ends tomorrow on the 23rd, November, 2011.

This international competition, which employs the interior of a shipping container as a display space, is open to applications from the public and has been the main feature of Kobe Biennale since its launching. Shipping containers which migrate within and between countries symbolize Kobe, that has long been developing as a port city, through the constant coming and going of people, goods, and information. For the competition this year, we have received entries from various genres including design and architecture.

This interactive space from HOLDUP Architecture combines the worlds of art and design using the principle of the theremin, "an instrument interacting with the magnetic field emitted by our body". (Source)
