Breathing Wall

The SCI-Arc Gallery hosts Breathing Wall, an installation by the French architectural practice of Jakob + MacFarlane.

The project is a fragment of a "theoretical building" with no conventional openings like windows and doors; instead, it has temporary openings that open and close only momentarily to let in air, people and light, and then disappear.

The mobile installation is made of aluminium and lightweight cardboard covered with resin. It creates interesting sensorial and emotional experiences, introducing the visitor into a world of visions and evocations that speak of possible environments in a not-so-distant future.
