  1. what exactly is semi-retarded? couldn’t you have come up with a better word without demeaning people with special needs. slurs and stereotypes hurt. when you use the word retarded as slang you cause great pain. hope it was worth it.

    mary – i’m going to have to come right out and take a serious stance FOR the use of the word retarded [pronounced ‘retahded’]. Notice the ad is what is being called retarded? The term applies to actions and situations, etc – not to people. The fact that you associate it with people with special needs is unfortunate, but sounds like a personal problem.

    Also – whose pained? McDonald’s as an entity? Or that feckin’ clown? Ninja, please.
