Beantown Pride at The Brilliant Mistake

So on a recent trip back to my stomping grounds in the Beantown, I met this cat Mike who has a blog that’s strictly holding it down for anything ill, especially what’s poppin off in Boston. He’s got dope photos and all sorts of insider info. Peep him sonny!

What Music Looks Like

Having trouble seeing all those hi-hats? Have fun with this musical realization of the motion graphics of John Whitney as described in his book "Digital Harmony." If you fail to subscribe to the back end of music visualization, check out "The Shape of Song," which outlines composers like Bach and Glass.

Thanks to Ian.

Welsh MC Devvo and Shady Pies Hold It Down

AA

I’m not sure what that is, but knowing those Carthridge mothas, all is good- just takes a couple minutes to take itAAin. Repping what would be known as "Chav Culture," MC Devo talks about the studio and "Shady Pies" then plays a track for the Devvo to rap over.

Last line of video: "I ain’t givin’ you me number cuz we ain’t got one!"

[ed: I don’t know if these cats are elite… or patently ridiculously, you be the judge.AA But definitely watch through to the end, as that’s when the music video comes on, idd’nit?]

Graffiti Ninja Weaponry!

In an effort to completely eliminate all graffiti artists, Mayor Bloomberg and Marc Ecko have funded research that has led to the invention of a ninja-less graffiti artist.AA If all goes according to plan, this machine will replace the ninjas, painting walls of the city by night while the NYPD eliminates all the real writers.AA Ninjas, heed this call! We must band together to master such technology so that our artists aren’t all deaded on.
