"Giant Light Boxes the Answer to Museum’s Underground Expansion"
When the collection at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City, Missouri, outgrew its space, architect Steven Holl faced a challenge. A new structure big enough to meet the museum’s needs would undoubtedly overshadow the center’s historic 1933 edifice. His solution: Go underground. Holl and his New York firm tucked 80 percent of the 165,000-square-foot expansion, called the Bloch Building, beneath a landscaped roof that blends into the museum’s existing garden.
Of course, burying a gallery under 8 inches of sod could make for a dark, dungeon-like environment. So Holl came up with an innovative skylight system: five giant cubes of glass that jut above ground, channeling natural light into the 840-foot-long gallery (equivalent to a 70-story skyscraper laid on its side). These light boxes, along with strategically placed partitions and computer-controlled window screens, ensure the 220 permanent pieces look their best a€" and are unharmed by UV rays and the greenhouse effect. Jackson Pollock’s paintings are drippy enough.

"Shell Oil’s Film Changes Hearts and Minds"
The money it must have taken to produce this is beyond my comprehension. The cost is certainly deep into the millions. The cost isna€™t what impresses me, however. Corporations have been blowing money on advertising since the first ad man climbed out of his cave. The astonishing thing is that I (and I assume the majority of people who watch this film) walk away with a different perspective. It wona€™t take the sting away from $3 gas prices, but when we are standing at the pump we might think of Shella€™s movie instead of faceless corporate greed. We might even choose Shell over other brands because we connected to the story. If advertising is dead, then this is a great model for any corporation looking for an alternative to the dinosaurs of print/television/radio. It goes like this:

Electricity
Electricity is an imaginary city which celebrates the spirit of globalization - the meeting of different minds and cultures. Phunk Studio’s wanderlust played a huge influence on the creation of this giant canvas mural. Drawing inspirations from their travel log in cities like New York, Berlin, London, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai and many others, Electricity is a vision of a global city, where diversity is a celebration and there is no East or West. With Aidan Kelly lending a slant in photography, the skies of Electricity drops into a surreal wonderland of floating horses, spiders and butterflies.
Electricity is generated by Tiger

New Kanye West: a€oeStrongera€A Samples Daft Punk
Following news that the street date for Kanye Westa€™s Graduation would be moved up comes the albuma€™s second full cut a€oeStronger.a€A A snippet of the track was recently released on Kanyea€™s Cana€™t Tell Me Nothing mixtape but between that and the album cut there is really no comparison. The track samples Daft Punka€™s 2001 song a€oeHarder, Better, Faster, Strongera€A and it is rumored that the French electronic duo will make an appearance in the songa€™s video. Kanye is really playing to the ear of the mashup fanatic as of late, not simply with this song but with the Peter, Bjorn and John sample he used on the mixtape for a€oeYoung Folks.a€A

Why Web 3.0 would really be Mobile 2.0? The start of Moogle
The internet is going to bring transparency. This is why i said imagine digging on digg using your cellphone. That is from the office, from the college, from school, from the parents teacher meetings, while waiting for your dentist’s appointment. 2. If you ask me, what I am waiting for, is not the youTube for mobiles, but P2P. I want to connect to a lot of cellphones, and get just what I am looking for. Right now I can connect to another mobile next to mine, if it is bluetooth compatible and downloads songs or whatever it is I want to download, but I cannot connect to the hundreds and thousands and millions in my country. What we need is a P2P software for the mobile phones, where I can SEARCH what I need and then download it.
