Yes… this:

polkatime2jx4.jpg

is the guy who runs the blog Music You (Possibly) Won’t Hear Anywhere Else.

But just because he looks a lil goofy in the picture doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a tight ninja-esque blog.AA His current article is on gospel music.AA Yes Siree, he even provides you with mp3’s as advertised.AA Give it a quick read.

Music From Cowboy Bebop: Too Ill!

I’ve been a huge fan of of the anime Cowboy Bebop and its creator, Shinichiro Watanabe, since I first saw the show a few years back. The animation was great, the intergalactic bounty-hunter theme was obviously a score for us ninjas and the plot and story boards stayed interesting every time I came back for more. Perhaps my favorite part, though, was the jazz-inspired soundtrack. The music in this show is really bangin’!

Now, far from new, but new to me, the soundtrack is available online for free, at least most of it.

Also, be sure to check out Watanabe’s most recent show, Samurai Champloo, which also features a brilliant soundtrack! ya heard?

This Robot Can Roll! It’s got steez!

The Murio, which stands for "music innovation based on utility robot technology," has an iPod dock in its back. Once you plug in, the robot will follow you around wherever you go, playing your jams. You know you want one.AA The tech they’ve implemented in this thing is dope. If you don’t have an iPod or it’s plugged into your other Murio (I wish), the robot has wireless networking capabilities to stream music from your home computer. The robot can also be configured with a built-in camera and sensors for the afore-mentioned music stalking. The Murio went on sale Thursday in Japan with a price tag of just under a grand.

Real Ninjas Like Bamboo…

And I know that’s no surprise to you ninjas out there, but do you have these bamboo earphones plugged into your iPizzle or are you still rocking the ugly whites (eeewww)? Though nobody at this point can tell us whether or not the wooden accents actually affect the acoustics of these steel and aluminum ear buds, made by Shuwa Tei, we can affirm that they are just plain gangsta. That’s all.

The Brits remade the famous Simpson’s introduction… and here is the theme as played by the Peruvian Aranjuez Guitar Quartet.
