Manor Economics : Digital Peasants
The Huffington Post sale has caused some "digital peasants" to become restless:
The same writers who were happy to contribute for free before the sale are now accusing the publication of turning them into "modern-day slaves on Arianna Huffington’s plantation." The suit claims that about 9,000 people wrote for the Huffington Post on an unpaid basis, and it argues that their writings helped contribute about a third of the sale value of the site. These bloggers weren’t paid a single penny in the sale—the money went mostly to Huffington and a few investors.

The High Heel Bubble?
I sincerely hope education is a bubble. If it is a bubble, it will eventually pop, and we will find our way to a global maxima. But I don’t see much reason for optimism. I expect that rather than popping, the education industry will level off at a high level and the world will be stuck in a Nash Equilibrium which is less optimal than where we are now. Our children will all waste 4 years of their life and $100k of our money and educators will become wealthier. It would be great if this could be prevented, but I see little mechanism by which that would occur. (Source)

Getting Out of the Comfort Zone
After a few sessions my coach made, what I felt was, an outrageously untrue, and unfair, statement "Liri you have to get out of your comfort zone". "Me out of my comfort zone?" I answered, "I have packed my bags and started a new life almost a dozen times, I have constantly changed jobs and taken on new challenges, I have always done what I think is right, even if it gets me fired, I have taken more risks in my life than you can shake a stick at, and you’re telling me I have to get out of my comfort zone?!!!".
My coach just smiled, and calmly said "But Liri, that is your comfort zone."
