Documentary: No End In Sight

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6182969183854471645

This in-depth, Oscar-nominated documentary from filmmaker (and former Brookings Institution fellow) Charles Ferguson examines the decisions that led to the 2003 U.S. invasion of Iraq and the handling of the subsequent occupation by President George W. Bush and his administration. Featuring exclusive interviews with central players and detailed analysis, the film pulls no punches as it chronicles the twists and turns America took on the path to war.

So it’s Monday…which means time for a heavy documentary to weigh down your week! Sorry, but I did think this was an interesting doc - I promise to find something more ‘up beat’ for next week.

A Crude Awakening - Documentary

Monday Monday Monday…must mean it’s time for a documentary to learn you ninjas something for the beginning of the week. This here is a little bit doomsday-ish, but the reality is that peak oil is either here now or about to be - and the $hit is going to hit the fan. Let’s just all hope that the projections made by many in this film are wrong…

Genetically Modified Food - Documentary

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5207412505897358694

It’s Monday again, and it’s time for a documentary.AA I haven’t watched this one, but as a caveat, sometimes I worry that people have the wrong conception of science.AA Though it makes sense to worry about the healthfulness of what you eat, I do find that some people tend to go overboard without a true understanding of the issues at hand.AA To say that humans have not been "genetically modifying" their food in a certain sense, since agriculture and husbandry, would display a certain level of naivetA©.AA After all, that’s the reason that all our crops haven’t blighted and all our animals haven’t died, on one hand, in regards to selective breeding.AA However, with all that said, I’m not trying to eat scientifically altered food without knowing whether or not it’s safe for me and my chil’lens.AA Either way, somebody let me know if this documentary is worth its salt, or I’ll watch it later tonight.
