Irony, ain’t it a bitch
After engaging in a massive PR campaign to counteract the depictions of it in the soon-to-be released Borat movie and show the world that it really is an industrialized, modern nation, Kazakhstan’s central bank has committed a small blunder which can only be described as ironic: they spelled ‘bank’ wrong on 80% of their newly-issued bank notes, leading to a massive recall.AA Seems as though all those government funds spent on the ad campaign might have been better directed towards a spell check program for the central bank’s printing program…

And Another One [Kofi]
Jay-Z is tricking the tricksters! He’s out of retirement, has his #45 album coming out, debuted his new music video on Monday Night football with Danika and friends andddddd hes now the "co-brand director" of Bud Select of Anheuser-Busch.
"Jay-Z also will be involved in providing direction on other upcoming Budweiser Select television ads, radio spots, print campaigns and several high-profile events."
It’s not that simple though, Jay is also allies with Coke who is in the midst of a high-profile campaign across the board on peer-to-peer networks. If you can’t make money selling records, get sponsored and give it to people for free!
If you are unsure why this is all relevant, please consult this Rhymepays encyclopedia.
[Ed. it should be interesting when Jaz-O drops the truth!- you’re getting paid off it or youre not!]

Sound is Fire
4D rhetoric and space sound have nothing on Rubens Tube. Live fire sound visualization powered by propane and pvc.
But… You Might Need Whiteout
Well, I heard about blogs linking to this pic as I listened to morning edition today.AA This is a laptop with an oldschool typewriter keyboard somehow transmogrified to fit where its keyboard would usually be.AA You’d need just a bit of technical prowess to actually get this thing to work, but it’s kinda ill nonetheless, even if it is just a sculpture (which we don’t know yet).AA

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Want to catch a senator napping during a congressional hearing? Or letting a possible racial slur slip out at a campaign rally
Then log on to Internet video-sharing Web sites like YouTube.com — the latest weapon in U.S. politics where a candidate’s missteps can be viewed by hundreds of thousands of people.
Political campaigns for the November 7 congressional elections have sent out mass e-mails with links to videos of opponents in unscripted, often embarrassing, situations.
That’s basically how I got terminated.AA They caught me on tape playing Ninjaaaa Golf!

New Green Houses. Just Add Water
A crew of architects/designers[/ninjas]AAfrom MIT have developed what they are calling ‘Fab Tree Hab’, a house that would grow from seed to sappling to green ninja abode [and in only 25 years!]. The design is intended to replace Habitat for Humanity, where houses for those in need could be grown on a regular basis, creating completely green/sustainable communities.
example of the growth of the structure
Here is some info on the house:
1. Composed of 100% living nutrients
2. Makes effective contributions to the ecosystem
3. Accountable removal of human impacts
4. Circulate water & metabolic flows symbiotically
5. Achieves fitness with our earthen web of life
While I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for one of these bad boys, much respect for the design team for coming up with a truly green housing solution. Humans are a part of nature; its only right that our architecture should be too.
Team Member, from MIT:
Mitchell Joachim, Ph.D.
Lara Greden, Ph.D.
Javier Arbana, SMArchS.
