Tiazzoldi Tables
Inspired from Alice in Wonderland, Fabulesque is a series of Table developed by Caterina Tiazzoldi (a Torino New York Based Architect) for the Circolo dei Lettori located in a Baroque Palace in Torino
Realized in laminated wood and MDF, each table has its own color and profile.
A parametric device permits you to adapt all the profiles to different functions (smaller for the coffee table, square for the dining table etc.).

Desktop Jellyfish Tank
What started out as an idea on kickstarter (a social venture capital raising website), a guy looking for about 3k in funding to realize a cheap version of a consumer jellyfish aquarium, now has garnered over 70k in funding. And I want one. Peep the video below.
I want anyone to be able to have their own pet jellyfish. Through Kickstarter, I’m proud to introduce the Desktop Jellyfish Tank. It’s the first affordable aquarium designed specifically for jellyfish and it’s as easy to maintain as a regular fish tank. Now Kickstarter donors can pre-order the first tanks that get produced.
Jellyfish can’t go in a regular fish tank because they get sucked into the filtration intakes and liquefied. I started a business called Jellyfish Art experimenting with different tank designs in my cousin’s garage until I figured out how to retrofit an existing fish tank to be suitable for jellyfish. It was a challenging and lengthy process, but it allowed me to start selling the first edition desktop tanks online at jellyfishart.com. Lots of people loved these tanks, but I still wanted a design I could control from the bottom up that would be specifically designed for jellyfish. Now after spending a year developing prototypes, I’m proud to finally launch this new Desktop Jellyfish Tank. It comes with everything you need to get started and Kickstarters have the chance to place pre-orders at a discounted price by donating $350. Kickstarters get a voucher worth $50 redeemable towards jellyfish and food from our website. .::Check it out::.
Home Based Business
While many people have viewed the home based business world as something that is not real work, it is the fastest growing segment of the economy. There are more people starting a home based business than any other kind of business right now. The reasons for this are clear with the economy not doing well and with many people out of work and paying more for standard products and services. Still, there are ways to start working from home and actually be profitable. Owning a home based business does not have the same negative stigma attached to it that it once did because it has become the best way for the average person to earn income without having to rely on a job to pay bills. The Washing Machine Revolution
From an interview with Ha-Joon Chang in Ode Magazine:
So what has the washing machine done for us?
"Like other household appliances, it has liberated women from doing household work or doing tedious jobs as a domestic servant. A century ago, 10 percent of the labor force worked in other people’s households. Today, very few people do. Apart from the Industrial Revolution, which decreased the number of farmers substantially, I don’t know of a technology that has almost abolished a whole profession on such a scale, in such short time. In short, the washing machine has allowed women to get into the labor market so that we have nearly doubled the work force."
What else did it do for society?
"Women started having fewer children, gained more bargaining power in their relationships and enjoyed a higher status. This liberation of women has done more for democracy than the Internet. The washing machine is a symbol of a fundamental change in how we look at women. It has changed society more than the Internet."
