Eighth wonder of the world?
‘They are to remind people that we are all capable of much more than we realise and that hidden treasures can be found within every one of us once you know how to access them,’ says Falco. via

Sagrada Wellness
"People are always just so impressed with the basic materials like a mud wall and the stones in between, and you feel these elements of nature around you, rather than plastic doors or already manufactured things," Inglizian adds.
Two small stone buildings, as much as 150 years old, house the retreat’s sauna, massage and acupuncture rooms, which are anything but generic.
"These are the ancient homes that were on the land when we got it," Inglizian says, crouching to enter through the small wooden doorway a€" a testament to the structure’s age. "We’ve actually met people in our community who lived in here and actually knew of a woman born in these rooms." via

Choose Your Own Adventure For Furniture #3
After reading Spacing Toronto’s Friday’s Infrastructure Mystery and having been learning through forms of ninja arithmetic I was instantly inspired to spawn a completely new and terrorist-like, interior-design juxtapost. We can call this choose your own adventure for furniture #3. If that piece of furniture looks comfy to sit in than your job is done, if you’re not feeling it click on that couch….
Freelancing 101
3 steps towards office politrickinaiosoligical freedom…
Is it worth it? Of course.
Bills, taxes, insurance and working with integrity-freelancing can be tough, but the individuals mentioned above, and millions more, wouldn’t have it any other way.
"You have to pay to run your own business," said Darrah. "It’s a huge responsibility; sometimes it’s a nightmare. But you’re not just getting a paycheck and going home at the end of the day. When you land a new contact, meet some new clients, collect on those checks-it’s a lot more rewarding than that. It has the feeling of potential and growth, wherever you want to take it. That’s the driving force behind freelancing."

Juxtaposed: Religion Bookshelf
5,084,000,000 people, 5,360 pages, 3,700 years, 243 countries, 7 books, and 1 reclaimed hardwood shelf.
San Franciso Designers Mike and Maaike have come up with a fascinating new piece called the JUXTAPOSED : Religion ($2500). Basically, it’s a simple hardwood bookshelf with 7 notches carved out. Each notch holds a religious text such as the Bhagavad Gita, Bible, Qur’an, Analects of Confucius, the Tao Te Ching, Discourses of the Buddha and the Torah.
Acording to the designers, "For the first time, the world’s most influential religious texts are brought together and presented on the same level, their coexistence acknowledged and celebrated."
It’s definitely art, because it’s expensive at $2500, but it’s interesting. Do you think the empty right hand side represents Atheism? [link]
Kinda ill, right? Via the green head

Wallpapering is placarding - why not react? Paper is sloppily slapped onto walls, disregarding the surface. Windows, door and switches rip holes into patterns, disrupting their continuity. Our product dissolves limits between architecture, wallpaper and hangings, with the wallpaper functioning as sensitve gobetween. So it’s time to: Warp your room!

Red Sox Win World Series - Free Furniture!
BOSTONAA-Thousands of Boston Red Sox fans are sitting pretty. That’s because back in March they took advantage of a local furniture store’s promotional offer for full rebates if the Red Sox win the World Series.
Jordan’s Furniture promised free sofas, chairs and beds to customers who bought between March 7 and April 16th, if the Red Sox win the title.
With the Red Sox holding a 3-0 Series lead over the Colorado Rockies, callers to Jordan’s were being directed to its Web site for information on applying for rebates.
Jordan’s took about 30,000 orders during the promotion.
Chief executive Eliot Tatelman hasn’t disclosed how much the rebates would be, but he won’t have to pay it all. He bought an insurance policy to cover losses if the team wins. [via]
Now, we wish we could show you the video of the Jordan’s Furniture dude (Elliot) being sprayed with champagne, which was the overdone and completely ridiculous commercial that aired after the game but unfortunately it’s not on YouTube yet, and furthermore, the mnp shogunate was on another all night Sox binge.AA We’ll show it to you sometime soon though.AA For all of you who bought free furniture, damn you! Congrats to the hometown heroes.AA Despite our best attempt to not be a baseball blog, we’ve failed.AA Things should slowly get back to normal around here.
I know some of you Boston people have to be thinkin’ that Bob’s discount furniture coulda at least have tried to cash in a little Red Sox mania themselves.AA Looks like we can all look forward to more of these commercials:
