Keepin’ it way too real!

Halle love

Let us Partake in the Lettuce

Dread at the Mantrols

So, here’s the shocker: none of these are actual photogaphs, they were all created digitally with vectors.AA This means each of the ninja artists responsible for the creation of these images first made 3D models using vectors, and then applied the textures and shading effects to make these pictures become realer than real.AA And you thought you were a ninja! Please!

The article has a lot of amazing pictures from a variety of artists.

Rat Brain Trained to Fly Jet (Army of Ninja Assassins Soon to Follow…)

Yeah, we know that title is a total mind-fiduck, but such is life.AA And yes, we mean the brain; no body, just the brain.

Scientists from the University of Florida first grew a "brain" from 25,000 neural cells extracted from a rat embryo, and if growing brains wasn’t enough, they then proceeded to teach it how to play elaborate videogames.AA The Brain first struggled in the cockpit of a simulated F-22 jet (was The Brain aware that it was only a simulation, and if not, was this ethical treatment of The Brain?), but rapidly learned to keep the plane’s trajectory on point, even in hurricane-force wind.
Here’s a quote from Dr. Thomas DeMarsh, an assistant professor of biomedical engineering at University of Florida and, more notably, the evil genius who actually had the cojones to begin training the army of rats that will soon rule the empire of the united states… ahem… well then, let’s get on with the quote, shall we:

"When we first hooked them up, the plane ‘crashed’ all the time…but over time, the neural network slowly adapts as the brain learns to control the pitch and roll of the aircraft. After a while, it produces a nice straight and level trajectory."

Scientists hope that their research will lead to the integration of organic components into machines and vice-versa. Well, I could go either way on that one, but let’s save that for another post, mmmkay?

Then Again… If Michael Douglas is your Pops…

We’ll save you the commentary and just hit you with the excerpt… dude is taking his son to see a shrink now.

AA"Yes, Fatal Attraction star Michael was stung by one of the nasty sea creatures and got his five-year-old son to urinate on him."

"But instead of being concerned at his dad’s weird request, the boy was delighted, according to IMDb."

"He looked at me like he’d gone to Heaven. He was like, ‘This is what I call a good summer holiday! Pee-pee on daddy’s back!'"

Modern Day Bridge Troll Taken in on Charges of Drug Possession!

Boulder police arrested a man who was demanding $1 from joggers and bikers that were trying to cross the bridge. He insisted that he was a bridge troll who owned the bridge. When an off-duty deputy refused to pay, the troll allegedly attacked him, hitting his bicycle with a broken golf club. Trolls apparently don’t know the benefits of a kitana blade.

After being subdued and having the cops confiscate a joint rolled in dollar bills from him, the troll admitted to being on a bad trip.
